Brandon Boseman

If you’ve ever spent much time around Coach B, you probably already know how passionate he is about creating a positive youth sports environment that builds empowered, strong, and confident young adults that are ready to take on the world! The kind of environment where young athletes can grow and challenge themselves, be an important part of something larger than themselves, and build lifelong relationships with their teammates and clubmates.

Coach B has been head coaching youth sports for six years now, and originally got into coaching through volunteering to coach his daughter’s rec league teams. That has blossomed into coaching 4 USAV volleyball club seasons, 2 AAU volleyball club seasons, and time with Mountain Rec and Eagle County schools as a volleyball coach. He is also very excited to start coaching youth male volleyball players this season as Vail Peak looks to help grow the game for male players in the valley too.

Brandon’s volleyball background comes from playing beach originally, but he was introduced to the indoor game in college and was eventually asked to play middle blocker for his club team at Appalachian State University. Playing indoor volleyball ultimately was a life changing moment for him that has lead to so many incredible memories and friendships, and so much hope and belief, all of which were brought about by this amazing sport.

As a coach, Coach B places high value on studying the collegiate and international game to stay on top of approaching trends, and to being flexible and adaptable in his coaching style to accommodate those new trends and not get “stuck in the mud” with antiquated ways of approaching the game. He favors a style of volleyball that has a faster tempo and emphasizes athleticism over height. He also holds Impact and AOC Women’s Level I & II Head Coach Certifications and AOC Men’s Head Coach Certification.

For Coach B, it all comes down to making volleyball an important part of a much larger overall success story for every athlete at Vail Peak, something that our athletes can carry with them as they grow into adulthood and beyond. As a coach, it’s what matters most to him for his team. As a club director, it’s his goal for every athlete that is a part of Vail Peak. As a co-founder, it’s his dream that this positive impact from volleyball is passed down to many future generations of young athletes in the Eagle River Valley, long after his involvement with the game is done.
